I'm headed out to Aswan for 3 days, Wed-Fri. Super excited about breathing in clean (albeit 104 degree hot) air.
I'm traveling to learn about the programs Om Habibeh Foundation (AKF partnership organization) offers in Aswan to the community so that I can start talking like I actually know what I'm talking about.
Next week, I have meetings with Goldman Sachs, Microsoft and the Ford Foundation to discuss potential funding and ways we can collaborate so it's integral I know all the projects inside and out. Making these contacts and developing relationships is something I really like about my job, which is going great.
I overheard discussion of another possible volunteer joining our team, I'm anxious to learn more -I need a partner in crime!
Time for milk and cookies, my new favorite nighttime snack. God, I love having access to a kitchen!
