This past weekend was excellent-Bollywood filled goodness.
On Friday, the Indian Embassy held Holi (Festival of Colors) which was fabulous. -great Indian food, music and company.

That night, Al-Noor uncle hosted a Navroz celebration. It was so nice to gather and hold ceremonies as if we were actually in khane, very peaceful. Afterward, we enjoyed a delicious home cooked Pakistani feast prepared by his wife, Salma. I could not have asked for a better Navroz in Cairo.
My broker on my many mosquito bites: the mosquitoes here eat foul everyday, they are SO tired of eating foul. Then you come, this big juicy cheeseburger...so you can only imagine, they are feasting!
I watched My Name is Khan with some Bollywood enthusiasts. It was by far the most absurdly ridiculous movie I have ever seen thus proving why I never watch Bollywood films. I will say this, Shah Rukh Khan still has it. and Kajol hasn't aged a day since DDLJ. I love them together.
I had my first experience on the Metro here. It's 1LE = 18 cents. You cannot beat that. It's definitely faster than a cab and without the hassle. I couldn't find the 'female only' cab so I had about 50 pairs of eyes on me but that is no longer unusual. If only there was a Metro station near work!Headed to the Syrian Embassy, hoping they'll make an exception and give me a visa without mailing my passport to DC. Keep your fingers crossed!
